It’s just unique . I would say it’s like a super unique better and modern SLO . A tight clear SLO . But with the most unique highs . 6 string is just perfection . Still working on the 8 string tone . Getting the 8765 strings even for riffing is tough at first with new amps . See I use my 6 and 5th strings as much as 7 and 8 . Have to make them ALL tight clear and even

I'll have to check this out tomorrow or Monday. Right now my wife and are getting ready to head to a Pig & Whiskey festival with Tree One Four, Quiet Riot, Queensryche, and others.

But the few minutes I spent at the beginning and at 31m sounded great to me.

Sounds great man, love the little punch at the end of the notes.

IME the balance of 6-8 string tone is easier with multiscale tone. I love Ibanez RG2228’s but you sacrifice clarity on the 27” scale. Had an M80M, and it was amazing on the lows, but was too nasally anything above the 7th string. Recently grabbed an Aristides h08 (26.5-28) and now have neither issue.

YMMV though, everyone’s different.
 
Sounds better than most other Larry videos I've seen, though I don't really know the differences between his different models.

I love these guitars . I put lundgreds in .
I actually on play them exclusively
Starting to play 6 again alot for my more poppy tracks . Poppy but heavy
But see every 8 string I play has to balanced with amp . I’ve had other Ibanez esp and shecter 8 strings too . See most8 string guys use those 2 strings most of the time . I riff on them all

I’m not even miked . Just wanted to have fun
The amp is the real deal.. in the room it’s in its perfectly balanced . But I wasn’t expecting these lows
