Had a great day in Hollywood today. Hooked up with my buddy Taylor from Montreal and hung out in and around LA yesterday before heading down to the NAMM Show.

yesterday we went and saw James Lugo at the studio and cranked some amps. Then went to Dinner with Dave Friedman and Rob from Tone Merchants in North Hollywood and followed that off with a late night Tebori Tattoo session with imo the best tat artist in the World, Jess Yen.

What a day, some pics and video of the Tattoo session for those of you interested in that kind of thing...

Heading out the NAMM show now, see you guys in town today and I will try to post pics tonight for everyone else.

That old school poking stick tat... I have seen that on one of the tat TV shows but have not had one or seen it done. Supposed to have a bit more bite to it. Sure it was fun.

Too much gain ya skinny bastard...lol.

Wish I was there buddy!

Don't think I'll ever get a tattoo if I were I'd get the work done by someone like this. I have friends who got them done by random artists. Although they ended up fine, it's going to be on my body FOREVER, I'd pay the money and get it done by the best.

We went back the next night and my buddy Taylor from Montreal got a custom Manekineko on his picking hand. Before the haters jump in and say hey good luck getting a job with that etc...

He already has both arms in full color sleeves and is a touring guitarist and a FOH sound engineer for the Bell Center in Montreal. Very good guy and man the hand hurts and he sat there for ever.

This artist is so talented with color and design its freaky. Check it out:

Always been intrigued by traditional japanese tattoos (Irezumi), and have gotten my shoulders and 1/3 of both arms done. Would really like to try the real deal, though.....atleast a couple of hours worth.

Was he a permanent artist there, or just a temp. guest artist? If permanent, where ?

Nice job, BTW!

Awesome man. If I get a tat done someday it'll be a half sleeve like that. Not sure i'd jinclude the chest though.

Many, many tattoos have some form of letters in them. Whether a name, date or even a tattoo writing letters that can make or break the room.

I have about 45 hours in the sleeve chest piece. I dont really see Tattoos as painful but...think of I guy sticking you with a craftsmen screwdriver for 45 hours and you get the idea. As the said in the Corps, Pain is Weakness Leaving the body. ;)
