LATENCY with guitar link USB

Hey, im just getting latency in win 7 thats so bad going right through the USB its not even playable. Youd think theyd support it, its pretty simple, just plug it in and play long to a youtube video right? But things gotta be so complicated. If anyone else had this problem and fixed it let me know it would be greatly appreciated. I use audacity.

Also how is the guitar link compared to something like the $100 m-audio? Thanks
 
First off ditch audacity and get reaper. very high latency is usually from using the wrong drivers/audio system. it's probably defaulting to waveout or directsound. use ASIO drivers if they're available. if they're not then download and install them :)
 
Download Asio4all. Go into the settings and play with the bit size and sample rate.
