Latest project (Cherry Bomb content)

I thought you guys might like a gander at a prototype cab I'm finishing up for the Henning Cherry Bomb. This is a one-off prototype that was built prior to the final specs being available. The final design will be a deeper cab. This particular cab will most likely have 1/4" black plexi panels with the custom, vented carvings that Steve and I have been working through instead of wooden panels because it's not deep enough to accommodate wood. My design isn't complete yet but there will likely be more than one option available for the panels, one of course being wood.

That is going to be one heavy amp, I know from experience when I had the JVM in a custom hardwood shell.

My only suggestion and I am not sure how it will be received would be to somehow add corner protection without making it look too out of place. Again from experience lugging a heavy custom headshell amp.

Anyone that purchases one of Bob's custom head cases for my amp also gets a black or white tolex one with corner protection for no additional cost. That way, when you take it to gigs, you can just put the amp in the other head shell... When you are sitting in your spare bedroom in your silk smoking jacket enjoying a snifter of cognac while gazing at your gear, it can be in the exotic wood head case.

Here's the amp in the stock head case... Still working with Bob on the front and back plates, of course... not delivering amps with no protection for the toobz...

Damn Steve your on the come up. Shit looks nice and very well made obviously its by you so all the little nuances are covered. And Bob's work always look good. Hes one bad mofo when it comes to woodworking. Id like to see a black headshell like the see through grey black like PRS uses on some of their guitars and have a red burst on the outside that would look tits on the black chassis IMO

Finish very similar to Emil's Guitar here.

Also one more thing Steve. Is the Cherry Bomb have more gain than your your plexi rod, or is it more of an updated version etc. Looks very nice man, Love the saturation switches on the front. Again that damn thing screams class, I had to get my smokers jacket just to look at it. Im sure when the tubes heat up they smell of leather bound books and mahogany.
