Here it is, straight up...

Just wanna get a consensus out there. As there are various MODELS of Vovox, Evidence, etc. please write this down if it makes any difference to you

Thanks for your input!!

I use Gepco raw cable. Lower capacitance than Monster, Mogami, Canare, etc.

Have you compared any of them? Curious if there's an audible difference. I may go pick up a 20 ft segment of Mogami and Gepco so I can see for myself. I use Canare.

I would go all vovox sonorous if it wouldn't break the bank, instead I went colossal cable, saved a ton of dough and couldn't be happier. I'm glad money was an object as it lead me to a cable that I think rivals anything on the market and at a great price!

I haven't compared them, but being that I get direct dealer pricing on Gepco cable and not on Mogami, it just makes sense for me to use the Gepco.

for guitar to amp i use the lyric hg..very clean sounding ,i dont hear any coloring in it and for the amp to cab ,i use the siren ll.. im sure theres lots of quality cables out there, but after using these i dont see a reason to try a bunch of others,...just my opinion though

peace and practice

Is the Lyric kinda stiff or is it flexible??
Is the Siren II designed to be a speaker cable??

Thanks!
V.

the lyric is on the stiff side ,but it is never an issue to me ,they are directional though, with a red nuetric end for the amp side
the siren ll is specifically for amp to speaker

They are stiff for sure. I used them for 4 years or so with no issues. I think they have a lifetime wrty. Lava cable has a lot of choices of cables.

Money no object-I'm thinking Van Den Hul Integration Hybrid or the Two Rock Crystal Clear. For a sweet high performance cable decently priced though-I'd go Lava Soar. You have to think capacitance though, and higher might be better.

There was just a discussion on TGP about cables, that I started.

General consensus is: Cable from guitar > first pedal is very important. If your first pedal is a buffer, then every cable after the buffer need not be super-expensive or have uber-low capacitance, but it should be durable and quiet.

I changed my rig to all Lava Soar instrument/interconnect cables and all Vovox Drive speaker cables and man, I was blown away by the lack of any discernable, audible difference. But I certainly have the coolest looking cables I've ever seen in a rig and the Vovox cables actually have a pattern that matches my silk smoking jacket. I gotta tell ya, even with all the money I've spent, it's incredibly gratifying...

It's the little things.

Leather-bound books and the smell of rich mahogany.
