ISP Theta Pro... Creamback up the middle, two Greenbacks left and right, slightly different EQ's....

But, goddammit, the drummer, Trey Bledsoe, is SO BADASS and made this a TON of fun to do... gotta love modern technology... I'm in Boston, he's in Kentucky, and we have NEVER played together before, just knew each other through mutual friends... this was just for fun... I asked him to do the drums first, and played guitar 'over' it. We are working on two more KISS tunes... "Parasite" and "100,000 Years." I did the guitar first on these, and he's doing the the drums as we speak... "God of Thunder" is also finished, just fish around on my page... oh yeah, haven't seen him in 20 years... woot!

Enjoy... or don't... :)

It's my dream that one day soon Paul Stanley actual hears this!!!

Thanks, fellers!

"God of Thunder" is on there too, and we are working on "Parasite" and "100,000 Years." GOT, I tried to make sound 'over produced' much like DESTROYER did back in the day. "Parasite" will end up being raw like WY, and "100,000 Years" I took GREAT liberties with structurally...

In all of them, I can't play like Ace, but I'm trying to honor his super wide vibrato...

It's been great doing these tunes, as they were instrumental in my development as a kid (I was three when the first album came out!!!).

I'll post when my bad ass drummer finishes the next two tunes!!!!

EDIT: and hoping to have vocals on all of them soon... not by me... I can't sing, I'm just married to an opera singer!

Love the guitar tone...but I have to be honest I don't like it for Kiss songs. Cool playing to

For me I loved the heavy modern tones on the Kiss tunes
We play probably 25 Kiss songs. All with a slightly heavy modern tone.
Just ads a tad more ‘chug’.
Most Kiss songs are all in the phrasing/bends.
Lots of fun no matter what!

^^^^^^^^

I would have to agree... the 1992 concert in Detroit (which is all over youtube) has some great heavier tones!

Sounds awesome, great playing. Listened to a few of your tunes too, really good stuff.

Thanks, man!

I'm having a blast revisiting these old tunes from my youth... so much fun!

I feel like I'm starting to find 'the' sound that resonates with me lately using the Theta Pro... be sure to check out "Dream Winds" as that's the last finished tunes... all the other stuff is waiting for vocals!

Loved it ! The lead playing sounded like George Lynch trying to do Ace ( which is pretty f'ing cool ! ) can't wait to hear some more !

^^^^^

You flatter me, sir! Revisiting these made me realized why I always loved Jake E. Lee's wide vibrato... BECAUSE ACE DID IT FIRST!!! Same with my original tunes, I always love multiple harmonized acoustic or clean guitars... then I took a listen to "Black Diamond," "Rock Bottom," and "Fractured Mirror" and every other tune on Paul Stanley's solo album for the first time in YEARS and my tastes/aesthetic all made sense about the way I write like I do...

I can't wait for the next two tunes to get finished (waiting on the drums)... I highly recommend everyone going back to their initial inspirations to see why we do what we do... I have such awe and respect for KISS and their music... gonna grab Paul Stanley's "Face the Music" soon.

Anyone else got some recorded original inspirational tunes they'd like to share? It's so crazy, but this is how the songs sounded in my head when I was a kid... so wild...
