I was there the final night of the 3 night stand at MSG. July 29, 1973
An amazing show, one I never forgot

 
Wow. That's crazy. Great live album. Really the last tour jimmy played well. IMHO

zep and page was the game changer for me. whole reason i ever picked up a guitar.
 
It was amazing. Just before my 17th bday! You have to remember. 1973, NOTHING to go by but the latest album, Houses Of The Holy, and what we read in rock tabloids. It was an event back then.

Most of all was the atmosphere inside MSG. The dry ice fog effect. Plants vocals echoing thru the hall. Bonzo's gong in a ring of fire for the finale. Good times!

Still watch it when it comes on VH1, can't help myself, seen it dozens of times but some of it especially the more jam sections are just so great, still holds up after 40 years...
 
I can not even guess how many times I have watched that movie ..... hundreds of times.
