It's simple really. The idea is America first. You are Australian. Our policy is NOT Australia first. You should lobby your rulers to implement those policies. Yeah, Trump instituted tariffs. In any event, Australia and random Australians don't get to define what conservative is. And whatever anyone wants to think it is isn't relevant. Conservative Americans don't look to foreign countries for inspiration. We mostly don't give a fuck about any of you. Your leaders disarm you and tax the fuck out of you. That's all shit we overwhelmingly voted against in November. In short, your internal policies don't matter to us at all. The fact that ours seem to be so important to you is proof that we are spending entirely too much taxpayer money and time fucking around in foreign countries.


In the entirety of US history US democrats and liberals have NEVER been proponents of "Protectionism". They have always been proponents of open borders and trying to mirror domestic policy of other countries. Shit like gun control, socialized medicine, democratic socialism, those are all 100% US liberal platform specifics. Conservatives in this country have always opposed that shit regardless of what congressional leaders ( almost none of whom do we consider actual conservatives) say or do in an attempt to make themselves richer.

Free trade does NOT mean we pursue policies that allow foreign countries to take advantage of our market. Especially when they will have a built in advantage through the use of slave wage labor practices and other bullshit. It is asinine to believe that pursuing policies that promote domestic companies and products over imports is a liberal policy. And no amount of whining about it is ever going to convince anyone here otherwise. You may be conservative in Australia, but a lot of the shit you support are 100% firmly in the liberal democrat realm here. As far as I can tell the only thing you believe that equates remotely to American conservatism is your position on immigration. Which most people here, even American conservatives, would say borders on overt, outright racism.

Funny thing about Fosters beer. Most Australians deny people drink it there, but they do. They are trying to hide the fact that from 1959-1997...Fosters slogan in Australia was "Man or woman...I'll bang em both!". They are trying to erase the past.
