Man, that's horrible.
They should just refer to the Steve Vai demo vid.

Thanks for the link. There sure are lots of features on that new Legacy.

This guy shouldn't demo anything
Yeah the dude is getting beat up in the comments and has more thumbs down than up

Amp demos can be weird because you are always going to get mixed opinions. There are guys who are much better players but they
are horrible on camera and then you have guys who can barely play but are great on camera and they can explain stuff.
Then you have the guys who just can't dial in a good sound or just shred lol :D

In my humble opnion they should have that guy speak and then get another person who can play/dial tones in better.

Regardless of how nice someone want's to be and stick up for that guy ( like some guy did in the comments section on YT), you are most definitely going to get blowback if you are a demo guy that can hardly play. Maybe I'm being a bit extreme here but would you go to a surgeon because he's great at speaking ,but he sucks when operating on people? This is this guys Job, so I he's got to expect that people are going to rag on him IMHO.

Here is Mr V.

I went to the Vai vid after watching the first one, much different sounding amp with Vai playing with his patches :D

The amp has a lot of great features. The amp is also ugly with the goofy symbols etc on it....this video definitely lacked in showing the amps tone...i am sure the amp sounds killer in the right hands though....and I like the pricepoint

+1. From what can be heard, I want to hammer away through one of those for a while to gather my own opinion. It reads, and sounds from Vai's demo anyway, to be right up my alley.

I don't dislike the guy but a man's got to know his limitations. He's running an Ibanez into the L3 and playing Chuck Berry. It's just not useful or appropriate. Especially for these quasi-reviews that are more like infomercials. It's not going to sell any amps.

Yes, it was a terrible demo I have to say. He really succeeded in making the amp sound like shit. Trying to play AC/DC with a Stratocaster says it all :aww:

The first vid makes me NOT want to buy the amp. The Vai vid makes me WANT to buy the amp...I guess that says it all. :D

Yeah- in order to Demo an Amp IMO you have to have some dialing in ability and you have to have a good vibrato and some ability to make notes sing- shredding is fairly unimportant( although it could demo articulation ) but need some "touch ".

I hate to come off as a guitar technique or tone snob here but this demo gives almost no indication of the Amp's capabilities.

Edit- The guy pictured next post from Guitar World does excellent demos IMO.

Love to see him demo a Legacy 3 and actually Carvin needs to get one to him IMO to offset the other inferior Demos....
