I picked this up last week.
It is a “kit” Les Paul Junior.
Genuine Mahogany body and neck. Rosewood fretboard.
The guy that built it had no idea how to setup a guitar. The neck pitch is slightly off, so I had to find a way to recess the bridge bushings, so that I could lower the action to a “playable” level. Not really too difficult.
He put a shitty junk Chinese dog ear p90 in it that sounded like dog shit. I upgraded that to a soapbar MOJOTONE super hot hum canceling p90! It sounds great!!
I had to make a backplate for it. I also added the “les Paul junior” on the headstock.
The guy advertised it as a FAT NECK….well, it’s not a 50s neck. It’s more like a 60s neck.
It’s super light. Under 7 lbs.
After all my elbow grease, modifications and hard work, this baby is a ROCK MACHINE!!!
