Don't know if it rips yet but....The only thing Sovtek about this amp is the chassis and headshell...Trannys are A Marshall (Drake) power and Mercury output..Dagnall choke..Tube buffered effects loop oh wait..the on off and standby switch and AC/IEC jack is sovtek...

No tube sockets? They are right in plain sight . Look toward the top of the photo for the screen resistors on the power tubes. Now look toward the left for the wires coming out of the preamp tubes

One thing you can count on with Kurt....if it sounds like ass and is the Acme Tone Sucker, he will say so and it will be in the box and on the Classifieds before you know it.

This is true! but....Seems "my taste" in what good tone is, is different from pretty much the rest of the world and everybody else loves what I think sounds like ass!!

You should see some of his other "homebrew" amps...This one looks very clean and tidy comparatively. Some I've seen make ya go WTF!!?? This can't work!! but.....they kick ass!! lol! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..
