Let's talk Bare Knuckle Pickups

I'm bored with the pups in my H/S/S strat now (Aldrich/Area 67/Area 67) and have been looking at the BK calibrated sets. Any thoughts on these:

- Holydiver humbucker & 2 Irish Tour single coils DC 16/6.4/6.4K AlnicoV & 2x Alnico V
- Crawler humbucker & 2 Mother's milk single coils DC 15.4/5.7/5.7K Alnico V & 2x Alnico V
- VH II humbucker & 2 Irish Tour single coils DC 9.2/6.4/6.4K Alnico V & 2x Alnico V


I tend to like Alnico V HB's and a vintage hot SC tone (Fender Fat 50's). The Crawler set seems like it would fit my tastes most...

I will say what everybody says just email tim at bareknuckles, he will answer in less than a couple of hourse with the best options. Nobody knows his stuff as he does. I could recommend you but it wouldn't be objective because I will be recommending only the pickups that I have tried. There might be better ones that I have not.

Holy Diver and VHII are really nothing alike. If you like a ALnico V power I like the Rebel Yell. It is a bright pickup though, good for an LP not sure bout a strat.

Thanks guys....I'm into all forms of rock and metal, but not cookie monster stuff . My strat is Alder with a Braziian board and my amp is a Cameron HG/LG Jose. I like a clear/balanced pickup with the high end rolled off a bit.

Well, I think the Crawlers could pull that off, not sure how tight they are though. Possibly some Nailbombs, Holy Diver's probably wouldn't, they're very smooth and loose.
But, emailing Tim or messaging Zimbloth would be your best bet. They both know the full line of BKPs extremely well, and could surely help you find what you want.
