i know there are models made specifically for reverb, then models that are multi-effects processors.

can anyone vouch for any other effects that lexicon units do great? reverbs of course is what they are known for, but would it be better for me to go for a reverb model that can accept updates, or go for one of the newer model multi-effects units that have reverb as an option?

anything or any particular models people love or have experience with would be great

I think the PCM 41's were the go to delay back in the 80's

41? cool ill see what i can find on one.

what about the lexicon 9X series or the 8X series?

The PCM 41 and 42 were the cool delays back in the 80s.

The PCM70 was a very popular delay/reverb unit.

The PCM60 was JUST reverb.

Then, they started in with the PCM80, 90, etc. They were basically evolutions of the PCM70 which had become their flagship unit.

Brings back a lot of memories I used a Pcm 70 mostly for reverb with a Digitech RDS 7.6 sec Time Machine delay and 256 XL

I have a PCM41, it sounds awesome. It is a pretty simple and low on features. I haven't owned any of the newer lexicon stuff.
