Lick It Up, Hot Blooded, or You Got Another Thing Coming!?!

The first few seconds of these songs sound very similar, IF you haven't heard them in a while. Every time "That Riff" comes on the radio I'm never sure which song is coming! :lol: :LOL:

More often then not it's usually Hot Blooded or You've Got Another Thing Comin'...... :rock:







 
I recently matched up Gary moore's still got the blues with Lionel richie hello. Both have a similar melody. I can never get the youtube embedded links to work, so hopefully someone can help me out.

I've ALWAYS thought the same thing!! You are right! Hello came out before Still Got The Blues...hmmm! :confused:

Sorry, but how can you get 'Hello' and 'Still Got The Blues' ever mixed up? Haha!
 
CCR had it. Whatever it is...

As far as the other songs being that similar, I guess... So many old rock songs are the same box of bar chords, just moved around the neck a bit.
 
I could see mixing up Another Thing Comin' (F#) with Hot Blooded (G), but to mix them up with Lick it Up (A) seems like a stretch (or poor pitch :poke: ).

Didn't Gene produce BnB, and maybe even assist with writing that one ? I can't remember.

I doubt anyone as innocent as Gene Simmons would steal from their song, and then steal Tommy years later, too :lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL:

I was JUST THINKING the same thing!! I knew Gene was dealing with BnB....
Probably had them write a bunch of songs....had the Band SCRAP them....then he placed them in the KISS Archives. ;)
