Lifespan of different types of power tubes.

I've been wondering if different types of valve, because of their power rating, bias etc last longer than eachother, specifically if big bottle valves Such as the KT-66,77,88,100, etc last longer than say 6L6s or EL34?

Power tubes lifespan determined on bias settings. The higher/hotter less lifespan, lower/colder more life span. Applies to most power tubes.

EL34/6CA7, 5881/6L6, 6550, KT88/KT100.

Surely that can't be the only factor?

I'm debating whether or not I can justify spending £144 on a quad of Gold Lion kt88s, which is twice what TAD 6L6WGCs cost if they don't last any longer.

How do the bias settings generally differ between types of valve?

Thats like U$S 230 for the tubes!

I remember hearing that the big bottles KT88-6550 have a longer life span than 6L6/el34s

Don't call me Surely!

It is typically the main factor other than brand/quality testing assurance...et cetera.

Just wondering which amp you are contemplating the option of 6L6 or KT88's?

  You guys complain, but everything is more expensive in England, other than Orange, Marshall, Laney etc, which are about the same. Actually, how much is a new JVM410? for reference.

A Jet City 100H. :) Check out FastRedPonyCar's Kt88 mod on this amp.
