I bought this sunburst Heavy Relic Strat from Lincoln Brewster I think in 2015. I am thinking about selling it because I have not been playing with the band at church much the last year and a half and want to get a Friedman Cali. I love the guitar but I also have a Fender 1963 Relic Strat that I originally bought as a backup for the Lincoln guitar and it can cover the same kind of music I would use it for. Brewster played with Steve Perry from Journey back in the 1990's and beat out everyone else for the gig when he was about 20. Perry built the For The Love Of Strange Medicine band/record around him. Lincoln Brewster left secular music after that tour and then became a big Christian music artist. He even has a high end Fender signature model Strat. He is a monster player. I have a certificate of authenticity from him and I have talked to him several times in person since I bought the guitar. He told me it was his backup which became his main guitar for a season and he said he used it on 60% of the Today Is The Day record plus three other albums.
I may list it on Ebay and I have sold many nice guitars and amps there over the years and have a 100% rating. I am still just thinking about selling it. I would probably sell it for $3,500 and that would include shipping and insurance. I guess I am just putting a feeler out there to see if anyone on the forum may have interest. Here are some videos of the guitar. Brewster says it is a1957 Relic but when he put it back to original specs before selling he saw the 1956 body cavity stamp and sold it as a 1956. When I bought it I put everything back to the way he had it in this video including the treble bleed mod which he always uses and did not mention when talking about the guitar. Covid has delayed the release of his long awaited instrumental record with Vinnie Colaiuta on drums. And I can of cousre take plenty of pictures which will show it is the exact same guitar Lincoln Brewster is discussing in his gear video from 2008.
With Steve Perry back in the day. Go to the 3:00 minute mark to here his first amazing solo and then a longer one. Lincoln and Steve Perry still keep in contact with each other and there have been rumors recently that they will be doing another project together soon. Still waiting:
