so The Faceless are well known line 6 users, and I'm about to be the owner of a Line 6 HD147. I've heard rumors one of the guitarists (presumably the 2nd guitarist, not Keene) used the HD147 for a while, maybe on the first album.

can anyone give me someone ideas what models on the HD147 I could use to get something close to their tone on Akledema?

I know that I'll never NAIL their tone due to mastering and compression processes, but I'm just looking to get something close to that crunchy and articulate.

thanks in advance!

I don't know but that band is pretty insane, a friend of mine had me listen to them and they are pretty crazy!

I saw them years ago and one guitarist used an HD147 and the lead / shredding dude used a Vetta. Both were using the red / silver bbe with 'em too, if I remember correctly.

yeah a lot of people seem to use BBEs with Line 6 stuff. I may have to pick up another one...

anyway, any ideas in their tone? it's super crunchy but has this biting high end...but still retains a lot of clarity for chords and what not.

any help is appreciated

after playing on this for about a day seems like the Diezel Herbert (?) Model sounds like what they probably based the tone off of. not 100% sure but it seems close...obviously i have barely scratched the surface on this amp.

pretty cool so far!

I'd send the band or the guitarist a message on their MySpace page. I'd assume you'd get an answer.
