I am wanting to implement a line mixer into my system and it is very basic in use. All I currently want to do is run two FX processors in parallel. Using an audio looper I am guessing is how I can decide to bring them totally out of the signal if I choose. So here is my Line Mixer Question: A product like RJM Mini Mix has 3 stereo inputs and one dry input and one stereo output. A product like the Mark L and CAE dual line mixers has the ability to run more processors but what I am curious about is the dual part of it. You get two mix level knobs as opposed to the RJM single mix knob. At first I figured this is so you can adjust one side different from the other to have more come through, then I saw how mix a feeds mix b and things started to become kind of confusing. Can somebody with mixer experience give me some input and practical application for these. I realize I only have two FX units right now, but as time passes I will add more and I do not want to limit myself with a Mini Mix if it really is limiting? Mark L has the dual line mixer and the mini Mixer, this post applies to the full rack mount dual line mixer from Mark L, but the small mini version is more in line with the RJM Mini Mixer, so input on any of fhe 3 would be greatly appreciated.
