lately I have been wanting to turn up the dry signal in my wet cabinet in my W/D rig.

Ideally I want the dry to be equal in both the "wet" and "dry" sides. with the wet side only having FX.

I am using a g major 2 for FX and I am worried about phasing issues occurring from the A/D conversion latency if I turn up the dry.

It seems a line mixer is what I need here.

What do you guys suggest?

Suhr Mini Mix?

RJM mini line mixer?

I have the RJM and so far it is working out really well. Great support as well.

Do you find the RJM transparent?

yes! However I only use it on the wet side of me w/d/w system!

Hey,
I have a question for you guys. I am also running a w/d/w rig. Why would you want to add the dry tone into your 2 wet cabs? Isnt that defeating the whole purpose of having wet cabs? I was just talking about this to someone and I dont understand why this would be done? I have my dry tone coming from my Uber cab and my wet from 2 Bogner cubes placed at opposite ends of the room. Im not trying to bust nuts, I just dont understand the purpose of doing this?

sounds less processed - more 3D - and doesnt sound over-controlled.

plus, those who use 2x12's or 4x12's can get added dry tone benefits from the two outer cabinets while also having a wet tone separate of the dry cabinet which gives you the "punch" and dry tone character that people love and cause them to do w/d/w setups in the first place.

i personally dislike a guitar tone smothered in effects - i like to use them as inspiration, but when it comes to an actual usable tone - it can interfere and hinder rather than help if the wet levels are too high.

just my .02

I am not using a W/D/W I am W/D.

for my application I am using a 2x12 cabinet one speaker dry and one wet.

for me the reason to use the rig in a W/D setup was in order to have the dry side my unadulterated amp tone. Adding effects on top of that is a more complex tone as well.

The single speaker for the dry just doesn't push enough air for me so I would rather have the dry also coming out of the other speaker while I am not using any effects. I may in fact not wind up at an equal dry volume, well see once I set it up and start tweaking.

I am only using the wet side in a mono configuration so the whole stereo separation goes out the window. In a W/D/W i think it would be more important.

My setup and line mixer is really not to run the dry with the wet even though I can do this. I have a GCX and run the send of one loop into a G Force and the Send of another loop into the H3000. Both outs of these units stereo to the line mixer. Also run dry into the line mixer. So with this setup I can run the G Force, H3000, Dry in any combination I want. If I want all dry and no effects I can do so, if I want both effects going I can run in parallel this way. It was the most versatile way I could think to configure the system. Zachman gave me some tips as well which helped greatly.

Hope that answers your question. Also just an FYI I think the wet side of a W/D/W sounds best with a bit of dry signal in it as well. It is not as processed and easier to mix with the dry side, just watch for phasing issues and go with what sounds best for you.

The dry in my "wet" cabs is from another amp, so I am using 2 amps, but the dry only is the core tone. The wet cabs are mixed with the second amp, so a more complex tone for me - at least I think .

This was my original plan but It is really not practical for me for the local club circuit. I did want two preamps doing their own thing but now Im more interested in the smallest form factor.
