I've got a fully loaded Comp in a mini headshell that I love. I am thinking of getting another for backup and saw a post on the Splawn FB group where someone got a Super Comp (Nitro circuit, single channel), but it has the 3 Gears like a Comp and Scott added the Resonance switch on the back. The owner said Gear 1, Mid Cut 'On' gets that QR tone.

We all love the Splawn bass output, but it can get wooly in some settings, especially when I have it in Old mode on Gears 2 and 3. I tend to use New for those gears and Old for Gear 1.

I was thinking to grab a mini headshell Super Comp, Mid Cut/Add, and Old/New, but add the Resonance Knob on the back to maybe help dial the bass more where I want it in certain settings.

Just seeing if anyone has played a Super Comp on this forum and curious as to your thoughts.

Thanks!

I have no answers for you but it is interesting none the less. Are you saying you are going to install a resonance variable pot? As in negative feedback? Like the Nitro?
