Locking Floyd Rose Trem

Hey all! Has anyone had any experience with locking a Floyd Rose trem, and if so, what recommendations would you have for which product to use? I have an LTD KH 602 but do not want to use the trem at all, having it completly blocked in both directions to maximize tuning stability.

Thanks!

Tremol-No

Had one of those, hated it. Screw shafts so short that losing one just from falling out is almost inevitable. Functionally it works ok if perfectly adjusted but very easy to overpower the locked mode by pushing the bar hard enough against the tension. Also found it slightly deadened the tone of the guitar.

Erasers are just fine

I bought a Charvel dk24 amber and it has a trem block installed. Not sure what brand it is but looks basic and like those ones on eBay. Does the job well.

When I buy a Floyd, it's to use as a Floyd, full range.

Only exception is when I add a D Tuna.

But I bought a used guitar once with a Tremol-No installed, and it did its thing as advertised......

I like how you laminated the wood block with different cuts of wood for superior tone, similar to the maple cap on a mahogany Les Paul.
That's not my pic, I just grabbed a random one from the Internet. But I have blocked trems that way before with whatever scrap wood I had laying around.
