I'm using superior drummer in logic.. I basically using the grooves provided (cutting and pasting and creating kind of my own beats with them.....but the thing is Superior drummer is changing the Snare sound! for example I drag a groove to use during the verse, and then I grab another groove to use during the chorus......... both grooves in the SD enviroment when you sneak peak the grooves both sound the same (same snare sound) and when I drag them, the verse grooves sounds exactly the same but the chorus snare sounds drier with no reverb and tuned lower.... WTF? how can I make the freaking snare sound the same? it's driving me nuts

This doesn't make sense. You're inserting a new instrument VST in Logic? Or using SD2.0 first and then moving it into Logic? Logic should be the main program with SD running in the background. When you check the 'construct', does it give all the same paramters on the snare??

Yeah I'm running Logic as the main program of course. I have SD 2.0 inserted as a AU Instrument. I noticed now that the grooves have different snare sounds....... weird..I though they where "midi programmed beats" and the sound would vary depending on what you main kit was setup like. I guess each "groove" has it's own snare parameters.....

I have actually encountered the exact same problem.

Basically, sometimes the snare will just pop out at you?

Would love to hear from someone who knows why this happens.

yeah and not only that but the snare changes... it's like you have a groove with the Ludwig Black Beauty and then it jumps and starts sounding like the 70s Slingerland WEIRD :gethim:

Throw it out there on the support forum. I got an email back in MINUTES when I asked some questions over there...

I can't think of it myself, I don't have the problem. Not yet anyway :dunno:

another thing that's been happening to my Logic is a sudden increase in volume on a random track..... for example I have 20 tracks and all of them are below -10dbs I hit play and I get a sudden rise in volume of say the vocal track (it could be any track) it bumps up to 0.0dbs....... as If it had an automation at mark (it has no automation) and when I lower the volume manually it goes back to normal.

This is has never really happened to me, and it's happening on two sessions...... the others are fine... I had automation before on those sessions but I deleted all automation in the session, so something must have gone crazy in those Logic sessions when I deleted the automation.

Click on the Hyper Editor tab and delete that little rectangle in the Volume section. Pretty sure that's what you're experiencing with the volume issue. It usually occurs when you import MIDI files, especially Guitar Pro MIDI files.

Long shot, but are you sure you don't have 2 different snares in your kit? If the snare hit is indeed the same midi note in each groove, you could always double check the setting in SD for the snare itself, and make sure there isn't a 'duplicate' midi hit going on somewhere else in the kit.

I'll give this a try tomorrow.....but I haven't imported any midi files from Guitar Pro.
