Motor City 2nd Degree Blackbelt for my LP. I hear the MCP Detroiter is great in a super strat. I'm sure any of the great recommendations in here would make you happy.
I have the detroiter in one les Paul and a jb in the other. I'll always keep the jb in the custom cause it just sings in that guitar. The mcp is a ripping pickup tho, that seems to have more output than the 9k it has. It has a more central mid growl, than the clankiness of the jb(which I love). Oddly enough to I tend to use the jb with my vht and more of a Marshall/boosted Marshall feel, and my detroiter guitar with my dual rec in D standard /drop C metal stuff. I keep the detroiter kinda close to the strings but it still gives me more grunt and clarity.

I have a LP that has a Detrioter in the bridge & T-Wrecks in the neck.
I've been liking both closer to the strings as well.

Both to my limited abilities are very sensitive
Ran split they have a pretty sweet classic twang going on

I have a 2nd Degree BB in the bridge and T-Wreck in the neck in my Heritage 150CM and man the 2nd Degree BB sounds killer.

Yeah I'm torn between putting a BB2 or a Detroiter in my LPC bridge...

I am yet to find anything that fits my taste and gear better than the JB in my LP.

I went through this a couple of years ago and once I adjusted to the "hot PAF" thing I haven't looked back. They are harder to play in a way than high output, more compressed pickups, and they highlight your mistakes more, but the clarity, touch sensitivity, and dynamics just can't be beat!

My favorite PAF style so far has been the Bareknuckles VH2. The Duncan Custom '78 is also an awesome pickup too and I love it. I'm just ever so slightly more partial to the feel of the VH2. Probably due to the A5 magnet in the VH2 vs. the A2 in the Custom '78. Both sound very similar really though.

I have been fighting the urge to try a Motor City for a long time. I can't make up my mind whether I'd rather try the Detroiter or the BB2. I just CAN NOT decide between those two which one to try.

I have a set of Suhr Aldrichs in one LP and a set of Suhr Thornbuckers in another.

Not sure how close the Thornbuckers really are to PAFs, but they sound great and I appreciate that they are 4 wire and wax potted.

Thornbuckers can and should be considered part of the PAF family...A4 mag though. GREAT pickup!

I found the Duncan Screamin demon(9.8K) to be a lot like a lower output JB in tone.
has that cool midrange and plenty of harmonics just like the JB.
Also there is the Perpetual Burn i have not tried but have read it is very JB like but not as hot.
it is not really a PAF type pu at 12K though.
above 10K pu's lose a LOT of the qualities that players really like about PAF's.

I have a MCP 2nd Degree BB in my Les Paul Standard and sounds great! My other guitar is a G&L Legacy with a JB in the bridge. I used to use the G&L Legacy for recordings almost exclusively but find myself reaching for the Les Paul now.

The 2nd Degree is more open sounding than the Detroiter, but the Detroiter has those pissed off mids. I like both, but right now have the 2nd Degree BB in the bridge of Heritage 150CM and I love it. Great for everything IMO. The Detroiter adds the that mid growl with a tight but not huge low end, but does not have the not separation that the 2nd BBs have and has a little bit more high output. You could not go wrong with either IMO!!!
