Peavey 6505+
Peavey XXX 2
Mesa Royal Atlantic

advice is cool !

Your list is kind of all over the place so I assume price isn't an issue. What are you trying to accomish with a new amp when it looks like you already have a few tone monsters.

I'd avoid the Orange stuff for what you play. I'd go with the Rhodes or Thrasher. I didn't dig the Armageddon although I only got about 20 minutes on it.

I'd definitely look into the OR100 myself. It would do Lamb of God quite easily.

Devildriver used a mix of 5150 III for solos and Laney Ironheart, but mainly Ironheart on their new album. Their earlier tones were recto's.

Also do not forget the XXX MkII from Peavey, a JSX, and mesa mark V which I believe LOG has used in the past. You own the XXX MkII already though of course.

my guitarist uses the ironheart really nice amp...How do you know Devildriver used the Laney on winter kills?

Eh just looking for something new... The Coreblade has a lot of cool shit on it to roll live...
and that fkn Gemini sounds soooooo fkn Good man... Can it possibly be better than Herbert? lol

Because there was a studio summary interview video posted with devildriver on SSO. Google does exist you know, not hard to validate it :)

Didnt favorite it no. SSO is a forum that dwarfs RT in size and traffic. You could spend all day and never find the same thread again.

www.sevenstring.org

RT did have a similar thread though - you created it.

Gemini no doubt. It will most likely be the most different from you currently have and will compliment your current arsenal rather than be redundant

No one ever tried the core blade my fear is recording it won't blow u away ..clips of Gemini are amazing

Thanks for the kind words guys. Note that since the Gemini is based on the same circuits as the Colossus, it can be dialed in to match it with relative ease. Therefore, if you like a Colossus clip you can safely assume that sound is in the Gemini as well. ;)

Another note -- there will be some more videos done by some of our favorite guys coming soon, specifically of the Gemini.

I own a Gemini. Have had a twin jet, knucklehead tre, SLO, MKV, 5153. Still have a MKIIC.

The Gemini is a stellar metal amp. You already know about all the tone mod switches are controllable in presets on the foot switch.

What sets that amp apart from the others IMO is the dedicated V1 for the clean channel and separate one for dirt channels. You can put an old NOS Mullard in the clean channel and have straight up awesome cleans, awesome light grind, and hit it with a bit of boost.

The high gain side is already famous for brutality. I like the two gain levels in the red and blue modes. I have played around with tubes for each of the crunch and high gain modes. It seems like it is easy to find the tones in my head with this amp.

And it takes a clean boost when you dial the gain back, and you get our old boosted Marshall feel with the right Marshall flavored stomp. I have had this amp for 4 months and it is the only one I use now.

Clean channel with a tele, or red Colossus mode with the ESP Snakebyte... It does it all. I have my super gain metal, and straight to Dire Straits in one click.

It seems like everything the MKV was hyped to be and then some.

I'm very happy with my Gemini. And I didn't have to wait years to get it.

Coreblade videos " SEAM " to have a fizzy sound ???or is it just me ? I hate fizzy as most of you guys do as well.

Lil nervous buying another boutique amp after DAR Amplification totally wrung me out n stiffed me on a cabinet I paid for and never received !

Gemini has this Badass tone hard to describe. As I went thru the clips n videos. It's like really Fat Tight n Huge sounding, really doesn't sound like my other amps I own.

I've never ever read a post or thread anywhere complaining about any Rhodes stuff being late or no-show, I believe Kyle's got a pretty well organized operation going. I've also had my Colossus over a year now with no flaky behavior or anything, it's a solidly built and designed product.

my buddy has a coreblade

it's raw and has some nice growl. i didnt love it, but didnt hate it. pretty convenient considering you can load the effects to a usb and not lose your settings. the effects i think were fairly limited though, but better than nothing.

i checked it out a while ago, but didnt really play with it much....he wanted help programming it for a few sounds he needed...and then spent the better part of the time playing my modded 5150.

i'd say go for it, if you dont like it, return it. he loves it.

im pretty sure he's using it in both these vids:
