Looking for a better Phase 90 pedal

I'm looking for a better Phase 90 type pedal. Cheap, true bypass, does the job. My MXR Phase 90 (stock, don't like R28 mod) is the tone sucker in the chain.
 
have you tried a Keeley looper pedal? It would get the P90 out of the signal when not in use.
 
I can't attest to the quality, but Behringer makes a MXR Phase 90 Copy. There's also stuff from EHX.
 
Honestly for a pretty cheap on the EVH90 from MXR with the script button in a almost perfect.

That's THE one. 100 bucks, true bypass, and sounds awesome.
 
Funny thing, I had a regular MXR Phase 90 and loved it. I asked a friend of mine that builds pedals if it would be possible to mod it to add a mix function. He told me that there was a quick thing that I could do myself, but that I could send it to him and he do something else. Anyway, I of course destroyed the pedal lol and started looking for another, cooler Phase 90. In the meantime, I pulled out my Nova System and decided to see if I could cop a good Phase 90 with it. Guess what? I don't need a Phase 90 anymore. I never really thought to use the Phaser in it, but it actually sounds better than what I had before. I stopped looking.

+1- sounds killer & much better than the MXR EVH phaser... :rock:
 
For convenience, I use a Line6 MM4 (in a looper). But, as things go, I was wondering how the real thing(s) sound so I bought myself an MXR EVH phaser and an MXR micro flanger.

I really tried but I couldn't get over how much hiss both these pedals have when engaged so back to the L6 it was (which gets there 95% tonewise btw).

HBE Psilocybe Phaser nails the Phase 90 sound and does alot more if you want/need it. It replaced the Phase 90 in my rig...great pedal, very quiet.
 
+3 on the Whirlwind. I used to use a real old script phase 90 but I was always scared someone would steal it. I tried a bunch of phasers and the Whirlwind is the closest to nailing the old script phase.
 
+5 on the Whirlwind. Replaced my EVH phase 90, which was a nice pedal in its own right, but is not true bypass.

The other option is the '74 handwired MXR reissue, if I got that one I would want to get it modded for True bypass, 9VDC jack, and an LED. You can buy them already modded from Keeley I believe.
