I know nothing about acoustic guitars but I want one. What brands should I be looking at? I'm looking to just get something cheap and used on FB marketplace for a couple hundred. Not expecting miracles but I dont want complete trash.

if you could raise to around 500, you could get a pretty nice Taylor. If you don't mind a beater, you could get an old players guitar. The tone of the aged wood makes a huge difference in acoustics. I have a 70s K. Yairi that i got for around 500. Takamine is another good one. And the old Alvarez from the 70s and 80 are great too.

Is possible but I was thinking something along the lines of getting a used guitar for $200-$300 that would be $500 ish new. Also was looking at the LTD TL.

Harley Benton Custom Line CLD-1048SCE NS
Good sound , easy to play , beautiful and ...cheeeap

Look for a Taylor Big Baby on Craigslist. They play great, sound great and are usually around $250-300.

Yamahas are the best bang for your buck acoustics out there. Try 'em if you can! Just don't do what I did, and forget to keep it in its case with a humidifier if your environment is dry or hard to control...my old apartment building wrecked two of my acoustics. If you're a naturally humid environment don't worry about it though, lol. Cheers

I bought one of the Taylor Academy's for around $500 and its fantastic.
