Looking for a Tele neck pickup loud enough to keep up with a DiMarzio Chopper T. I want it traditional looking. My first instinct was for a Twang King (a la Kotzen) but from doing some research people say it’s similar to the Fender Twisted Tele that I have in there now which is way too low output.

The EMGA telephone pickups are a favorite of mine. With the SPC control replacing the tone knob it's got a lot of oomph.

Well.... the Twang King seems to work OK with a Chopper T for Ritchie Kotzen in his sig Tele.
I can also tell ya that I, and everyone else I know that plays a Tele, swears the Twang King is hands down the best Tele neck pickup going..
DiMarzio nailed it with that one

I’d agree with the King Twang, as I have a Kotzen, and it balances pretty well. I have to think that a Duncan Quarter Pounder would be loud enough too.

I exclusively use Rob at Cavalier pickups for my tele needs. Just shoot him an email and describe what you want, he will either suggest one of his winds, or customize something. You will not be disappointed.
