Looking for a new OD pedal

Playing through my suhr riot has about run its course. I don't need that much gain and I wanna go from distortion pedal to an overdrive pedal. I am wanting something that does have some gain but not as much as the riot and still can be pretty heavy. Marshall type tones would be great. I will be using through a clean amp.

Any suggestions?

I've heard a lot of good things on it, modded tubescreamer kinda vibe

sounds good on the vid,


otherwise i've got a mi audio blue boy deluxe on my board along with a cmatmods brownie, together is crunch heaven =0 but i can get a lot of inbetween sounds too mainly with just the blue boy on it's own

if you want marshall kind of tones the Box of Rock, or maybe the lovepedal purple plexi

When I got my ocd, I was also looking at the zvex Box of Rock. Judging by its demos on youtube, if it's a clean amp you want to get marshally, that might do the trick.

I dunno man maybe im simple but I love my tubescreamer. I'd really like to find a Maxon OD-808, just think the tone is killer on that. Otherwise I've got an MXR Zakk Wylde OD I'd sell ya

MI Audio Blues Pro OD, Awesome pedal!! I bought it used for less than 80 bucks and I like it better than my Timmy and it gets more use than my other ODs!!

Checkout some Barber pedals. I got a Barber Burn unit and it's a bitchin pedal and doesn't get much attention. I liked it better than my Xotic BB+. There's also the Suhr KoKo Boost.

Fulltone OCD, Barber Direct Drive, and original Marshall Bluesbreaker come to mind. The only one I have tried out of the 3 is a bluesbreaker clone, not much gain compared to the OCD though.

I don't think the OCD will be able to get as raunchy as he wants...it has a fair amount of gain of tap, but I can't set mine past around 2-3 o'clock without it starting to sound muddy (I have v.4)

mad proffessor sweet honey overdrive is awesome, just check out the clips on youtube etc, I liked the Maxon od9+pro and I got a klon clone off ebay called the tauras that is really the best sounding I have heard and it can be used as a clean boost or an od.
