Hey guys,

I was looking to get a buffer pedal to use in conjunction with my Lehle P-split, and was debating between the following: Suhr, Empress, Analogman, or the Lehle Sunday Driver.

I was wondering if anyone knew how any of these compared, and could provide some input. It would be very appreciated!

I use the Sunday Driver in the Sunday mode. Great buffer and it adds that certain pleasantness that just make everything soooo much better.

A thing to consider is that if you have a pedal that´s always on or not true bypass before the split you´re already buffered and won´t need additional buffering for impedance issues. With that said, a buffer can absolutely do other good things too, not just convert to lo-Z.

I appreciate it. I currently have an analogman buffer in my loop, but I was interested in getting one in my main signal chain. I've read the analogman is a solid product, but i've read it gives a midboost or something along those lines. Would you be able to provide any recommendations for a good buffer?

Hmmm... I was actually looking to get a creation audio MK 4.23 clean boost sometime soon, but I figured if I got the Sunday Driver I would have the benefit of having a clean boost and a buffer (which is what i'm inquiring about in the thread). That raises the question, how does the clean boost of the Sunday Driver compare to that of the MK4.23?

Also, I know that a clean boost should be used last in the chain. However i'm stuck given that I have to use my buffer before my P-split; that is, at the beginning of the signal chain (at least I think that's the case). Could anyone provide input?
