Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a guitar input splitter to use with my Zuul, and was hoping I could get some recommendations. I currently use a JHS buffered splitter, but i've heard some negative things about it so I was going to return it to hopefully get something better.

I was looking into the Lehle P-split, and it seems promising. If anyone could chime in it would be appreciated.

The lehle products have been the best single splitters / routers I've used.

I appreciate the input folks. I actually forgot to subscribe to the thread so sorry for the late reply. I decided to get a Lehle P-split; However, I do have a little dual that i'm trying to sell but I heard from Lehle that it uses the same splitter as the P-split, so I might be able to keep it. The thing is that i'm getting a high pitched sound when at higher gain and level (boost pedal) settings when I use the little dual as a splitter that i'm trying to resolve.

Meanwhile, I know that I need a buffer should I decide to use the Lehle P-split or little dual. The thing I, I was actually looking to get a creation audio MK 4.23 clean boost sometime soon, but I figured if I got the Sunday Driver I would have the benefit of having a clean boost and a buffer (which is what i'm inquiring about in the thread). That raises the question, how does the clean boost of the Sunday Driver compare to that of the MK4.23?

Also, I know that a clean boost should be used last in the chain. However i'm stuck given that I have to use my buffer before my P-split; that is, at the beginning of the signal chain (at least I think that's the case). Could anyone provide input?

I'm a huge fan of the CAL Mk.4:23 - love it - it's more than a boost.

Couple things - experiment. Secondly, draw out your signal chain and offer it up so we can let you in on some ideas. Thirdly, A BOSS tuner or similar often offer line buffering; something to keep in mind. And lastly - the CAE/MXR Line Booster is a terrific adjunct to any board or signal path to maintain signal strength.

Things to rethink are "why's the noise there", are you sharing a non-isolated power source?
Cables - are they of good quality throughout?
How much are you routing?
The Lehle Dual S-Go-S has incredible internals and filtering capacities - this isn't the problem, it's just taking a problem a making you aware of it IMHO.

Keep us posted - happy to help.

Much appreciated man. Here is a video of the hum https://streamable.com/6uk1d

In regards to the MK 4.23. The reason I brought it up is because I was curious how it stood up to the clean boost of the Sunday Driver, because I was looking to get the 4.23 as a clean boost, but then also realized I need a buffer before my split (little dual). I figured the Sunday Driver would be an appropriate choice for a buffer since I was already in the market for a clean boost (MK 4.23)

Curious, what was wrong with the JHS?
I have 2 of them and seem great, use one to split at the beginning of the chain to hit my tuner and Zuul.
