I'm excited because Vox has been getting things right (for me) lately tonewise.
The Tonelab LE has kept me happy for a good while and now this new extreme offering...

This thing is a beast...200 watts "stereo", updated amp modeling, able to use more effects at once, more presets....

We shall see if it does

I was at a GC last week jamming with some other company guys gassing to play while at school and we were playing through Vox stuff and I really enjoyed them, much easier to dial in than the L6 stuff imo.

That amp looks very cool

I read elsewhere that the Black Diamond got canned...
I googled it and found this...damn.
So no 'good' gear will be released for a while by the big companies...Just cheap junk?

"Vox Black Diamond - not being released
Unfortunately, it looks like the long awaited Vox Black Diamond - the 200w flagship successor to the 'Blue' series Valvetronix amps- is sadly not going to be released. It's no longer shown on the Vox website, and even the replacement VC12 pedal 'blurb' no longer makes reference to it. Info going around the net would suggest that because of cost, price & profitability, its no longer a viable product.

Sadly, it looks like it's delayed development & planned release was lousy timing. I suspect that the serious global financial uncertainty ('credit crunch') combined with very aggressive competitor pricing (eg the Peavey Vypyr) impacted on Vox' decision here.

It's very sad - I really liked the BD when I played it at LIMS, but at least some of the development has been used to enhance the chrome series with the new VT amps and their extended features & amp models. RIP BD!"
