I've currently got the old original Dunlop Cry Baby (not very impressive, IMO) and the Morley Bad Horsie (I like the optical switch, but that's about it.)

I was looking at the Fulltone Clyde Standard or Clyde Deluxe. Also, a buddy of mine said that he really liked the RMC1-6.

Anyone got the scoop on either of these WAH pedals - pros/cons...etc? Or any suggestions on a better selection?

Have you worked with a Dunlop 535q before? I haven't played too many different wahs, but I get compliments on my life wah tones quite often.

This video isn't the best performance or audio in the world, but it shows the wah tone I get through my Boogie in the beginning of the song. I dig it because it's got a very deep sound, but still has that nice top end quack to it. It can get really nasty if you want it to.

Here's a link to the studio version of the same song, which was done with a Crybaby From Hell. It's fairly similar, though it has a more....expressive sweep to it, to my ears anyway.

Hope this helps a bit. I'm actually itching for a new wah to add to my board. One for leads, one for accentuation parts in that song...that may be overkill though.

The 535q is pretty cool. I hate the fact that it doesn't have a bypass though.

I agree. That and an LED would really help my forgetful ass. I've found a few mods for true bypass and an LED that I'll eventually get around to doing. So lazy.

Does your Mesa have an option to run it as a power amp? If so I have a pedal/preamp you might like a lot.

It does indeed. What is this pedal you speak of? You have me all intrigued now.

AMT P1. I'll grab it with me. If you like the Uber I'm guessing you are gonna dig this little beast.

If you want a Hendrix/SRV style wah nothing beats a MJM Ulysses.

I really liked the Dunlop 535Q. But, hated the tone sucking and noise running it up front. So, I bought the rack mount Cry Baby and run it in a loop in the Bradshaw switcher. Now, it is the cat's meow.

Yes I have, but it's not true-bypass. I'm a guitar and cable guy...nothing goes between my guitar and my Herbert unless it's transparent. That's why I'm going away from Dunlop and Morley (circuit buffering isn't a substitute for true-bypass.)

Nice! The intro is very good.

So far the clips that I've heard of the Italian replica from RMC, the RMC4 Picture WAH sounds awesome.
RMC CLIPS HERE

Thanks!

Sweet.

We done hijacked the thread, man

No worries, the more discussion, the better...that's why we are Rig-Talk! :D

Good point about the 535q and the lack of led to show that it has been turned off, wish it had that.

I LOVE my dunlop rack wah, loads of cool sounds in there, might be my favorite yet

I also have a very simply modded Vox V847 that sounds fantastic

I loved the Fulltone Clyde standard that I had but didnt like the deluxe so much after that.

The Fulltone Wheels of Fire is an awesome wah...

I have yet to use anything by Morley that I cam close to liking..

The SilverMachine Automagic gets mixed reviews; some love it, I didnt..

I didnt like the Budda Bud wah at all

I liked the 535Q, sounded pretty good but didnt floor me...

I have not played the area 51 but have heard good reports as well as with the KR Megawah..

So many wahs, so little time David...

I am looking to sell my dunlop Rack Wah, if your interested...
