Congrats on the LP D-Rock. I had Probuckers (and several other features included in that model) in a Sheraton II Pro. I think they were the Probucker II and III models. I had planned on replacing them immediately until I tried them thru my rig. They were high quality pickups on par with my 57 classics, just a little hotter but still rich and buttery sounding. I really liked them, and the coil split tones were great. The locking bridge was nice quality and the tusq nut was great. Wasn't sure if mine was setup by the factory or after the fact by the original owner (it was still mint) but the action was buzz free and shred-level low, so low I actually had to raise it to play blues on it. Never had that happen before.

Please post a follow up when you get it. I hope it suits you well!

I ran across an Alex Lifeson epiphone sig in a GC I stopped at a couple of days ago. If I were looking to pick up something to play around with those would really be a strong consideration, like the OP I am pretty content with the amount of holes already in my head.

Very very nice….👍 I like it. Been lusting after sg’s though

At one point if you would have mentioned epiphone to me I would’ve laughed in your face. Now I’m lusting after a few Eli’s….

It's similar in theory and design to my Solo II Custom so it'll be interesting to compare. A great guitar with nearly all the same specs.

I'd take a South Korean Schecter over a Chinese Epiphone any day. Sure, Epiphone has been putting out some nice looking guitars, but the fretwork is typically atrocious. Maybe they've figured it out by now, but I'm still not convinced. I've looked hard at the inspired by Gibson Les Paul Customs. Great specs, great hardware, but Made In China has always been the deal-breaker. For the prices they're asking, they should atleast buy a PLEK machine for the high end models. They can afford it.
