Saw these guys open for Lynch Mob in '92 I believe (Chestnut Cabaret, Philly). Before the show this scroungy bum who looked and smelled like he just crawled out of a dumpster was walking through the crowd offending anybody who caught a whiff of his stank. Next thing you know the lights go down and he's on stage

The band was tight and their sound was great. Even the stinky bum of a singer had a stage presence unlike anybody I've ever seen...they absolutely owned the crowd by the time they hit their stride a few songs in. I bought their cd the next day which I rarely do...still spin it once in a while.

Then they just dissappeared...I never heard another thing about them. Anybody else remember these guys?

A live clip:

Alex Kane was an excellent guitar player. You might not know it from LSD, but he could shred with the best of them back in the day.
Back in the late 80s "Stanley" the singer used to dress that way and walk around before shows. Then when his band at the time went on stage he was full on hair band singer. Then in the 90s when LSD was getting attention he sort of adopted the Stanley persona full time.

Last I know of, he owned the rehearsal space around Oak Park/ Forest Park by Ferra Pan Candy (in IL) where one of my old bands used to practice.
He would slip in and out of the Stanley persona when we would ask him to fix things in our room...bizarre.
That was mid to late 90s though.
