I swear by fixed bridge guitars but lately I have been really GASing for a classic shred machine with a Floyd. Not looking to break the bank so even if it's a reissue, that works. My options so far have been the EVH striped, LTD Lynch reissues, older Kramers etc. I don't know a ton about floyds or shred machine guitars so a little help finding something cool would be great because I know there's a lot of 80s lovers in here.

If you happen to be selling something that might fit the needs, let me know.

I'd suggest something like an old Ibanez RG550/560/570 or a Charvel model series.

This is what I would do. Or the right BC Rich.

Not really wanting an Ibanez, the Charvel option intrigues me and as for BC Rich, what models should I be looking at?

Early 90's T-M1, GS-M, ST-3, ST- Custom, Gunslinger would all be great guitars.

You'll have to get lucky as they are probably hard to come by but if you find one just make sure they are not a RAVE series or a Reissue. If you could find one of these from the 80;s it would probably be a good amount of money and unrealistic.

The Charvels are really nice though too. Wayne Charvel and Bernie Rico Sr. designed the BC Rich guitars back then.

Charvel is a good recommendation , I would add Carvin/Kiesel to the list .

What's your budget? So many good choices depending on what you're looking to spend.

Here's a few options I was considering.

EVH brand circles guitar near new - $500
Charvel Japanese made san dimas used - $435
BC Rich gunslinger retro used- $300
Kramer FR400 used - $450
Kramer Focus F3000 used- $400
Charvel Model 6 (would be a real fixer upper - $300
Jackson Dinky JDR used - $200

Look at a current production import pacer. It's unbelievable how good of a guitar it is for the money.

Could you link me to one on reverb? Thx

It seems to be narrowed down to an EVH brand circles guitar, a Kramer Pacer classic and a Charvel San Dimas MIJ. What say you rigtalk?

I'd look for a deal on a beak headstock Kramer (used American) Pacer or a USA Charvel San Dimas from '08-'10

This is probably what I'd do. You should be able to find one for close to that if you look around a while. That said, the MIJ Pro Mods are probably just as nice and offer some different finish options.

MIJ Charvel. The EVH is close though, but fret work is questionable. Had a Bumblebee and a few MIJ SDs, I'd go with the Charvel.

The MIJ SoCals are a great choice IMO.

I am on that site what seems like 20 hours a day. I only asked because there's several different Pacers and I am not sure which is the type he was talking about. Cmon now.
