LTD Kamikazi

I have a 500 series LTD Kami from 2002. Bought it 6 or 7 years ago for $400 shipped or something like that. It's alder, and full size Dinky body (My DeMartini Charvel was smaller). Cheap licensed Floyd trem was garbage, but guitar overall is better than the current 200 series Lynch guitars IMO. The only 200 series Lynch guitar that I actually liked and kept is the GL256 which I still have and bought when they first came out 11 years ago. Just my $0.02

But as said above, change the Floyd to a real one, and change the pickups and they really aren't bad - I just prefer the 500 and 600 series Lynch guitars.

I love cheap guitars. I just need to commit my ego too!

I have a few LTD 200 series guitars. The stock pickups kinda blow, but the guitars themselves are pretty nice for the cash. I swapped the electronics and did a quick setup on them and they easily hang with guitars costing quite a bit more. My ash body 213 strat has a solid one piece body and flamed maple neck and was under $300 out the door and easily hangs with my Fender USA Deluxe with the same wood combo.

I didn't speak of any MIM Charvel, I said MIA only...which is kind of my point, you take a shot at an LTD probably from Korea or Indonesia, then a swipe at Mexican, but give Japanese a pass... kind of pretzel logic to me.

MIA Charvel/Jackson is never going down...MIJ or MIM will for sure, no argument there.

For 349 that LTD Kami is probably as good as an 80s model series Charvel was back in the day...you could swap pickups and put on an OFR with a brass block and it might be every bit as good as your model series is now.

Bass wood does nothing for me tonally.

I love Les Pauls, I have 5. 2 Norlin Customs, a Norlin Standard, a Classic Premium plus top, and a Traditional pro. I also have an 81 Explorer, an 81 EDS1275, and a '61 ES345. People rail on Norlin Gibsons all the time...I love 'em.
I have 3 of the 200 series LTD Lynchs, GL 200 MT Yellow tiger--Purple sunburst 200 sbt and the Kamikazee, just like said above, replace the Floyd Special out with a real Floyds, and I have put Seymour Duncans in all of them and changed out the always horrible LTD tuning keys for Schallers and now they are just outstanding playing and sounding guitars, sure I don't have mega $$ invested in them but they are my go to axes, even more than my USA Soloist HSS Floyd guitar..the ltds are a great value, thats all I'm saying!
How much did you pay for the guitar ?

How much to do all the change out ?
I already had all the extra parts from Mutt builds I have done and continue to build, and the top price was $500 out of the 3 LTD's I have, and it was/is brand new..back in 87'-88' I had a Model 5 Charvel in the same color as the one you have pictured,I would like to have it back-the active Jackson pickups.
