Hey guys, I have been on the look out for a passive pickup that can match my EMG 81 in tightness and sharp attack. Ive tried many Duncans and Dimarzios and cant seem to find one that really matches up with the EMG 81. I have seen quite a few videos of the Lundgren M-6 and the M-7, sounds very tight and articulate with sharp attack. Does any have any experience with the M-6 or the M-7? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Slated to get some for evaluation....will let you know. All my contacts keep telling me how awesome they are etc....going to test them against my DD.

I've been using an m6 for a few years now, really awesome pickup imo.

I originally had it installed in a flying V and it sounded great. After a few months I tried it in a baritone and it really started to shine. It handles low tunings like no other pickup I've used - the guitar has a 30" scale and I've had it down to G# without losing much clarity at all.

They are pretty expensive pickups, but If you're after tightness and clarity give one a shot. I was told that the M series is a lot like a p90 on steroids - and none of the custom pickup winders I spoke to were comfortable trying to make a copy. Perhaps some of the more educated folk on here will elaborate :)

Cheers

Awesome...looking forward to your take on it. Very interested to see how it matches up to the DD. Do you have an EMG 81 in the shop you can compare it to when the time comes?

Great! was a long time EMG 81 user and i also thought about the M6 for my SL2H.

I have a M7 in my test guitar.

M7 sounds better, (More defiened and aggressive) then the M6, (we tested M6 in several guitars)....

They better be good if this guy is endorsing them :

I'm curious if a Bare Knuckle is punchier
