My 75 Les Paul Custom needs a complete makeover - refinish, refret, hole filling, some new hardware, etc., the whole 9 yards. I live in north Alabama. Anybody have suggestions? Preferably people who’ve actually had work done by those they’ll recommend. Thanks!

I just recently sold a Heritage 535 that had been PLEK'd/re-fretted straight from the factory to Joe Glaser Guitars in Nashville to the dealer. That guitar played amazing and had the sweetest tuning.

Thanks for the response, man. I’ll check them out.

Dave Onarato at Dojo Guitar Repair in Atlanta. He’s refretted two guitars for me and the results were fantastic. He’s also an unbelievable player. Check out his Instagram page.

Glaser does amazing work. It seems they prefer to work on more traditional type guitars. I don't know if I would take a shredder to them. I've had some guitars done there and asked them to set the string height like it would be from the factory and was told that was for beginners and real guitar players would never have the strings that low. They did a great job and I just lowered the action when I got home.

I sent a message to Dojo Guitar Repair to get some info.

Dave has been a friend for a long time and has worked on my guitars for over 15 years. He put together a Warmoth for me that is my favorite guitar. His work is as good as his playing..;-)
