Luxxtone or Charvel Custom Shop

I’d say Charvel CS. Reselling a Luxxtone may not be quite as easy as the name isnt as universal as Charvel. But it’s ultimately up to your taste. I’ve never owned a Luxxtone but I hear the quality is excellent. My CS quality is top notch. I’d put it up against a Suhr or TA any day.

I don’t know if it’s still true but the guys in the Charvel Custom Shop are the same Luthiers that made the guitars in the 80’s. I think that’s pretty cool. They won’t be building for ever.

Honestly...as a guy who has owned many CS Charvels, and now also has 2 Luxxtone El Machete's...they're pretty much interchangeable to me (neck feel, overall quality, all of it). Neither one has made we want to get rid of the other, to me it's like Luxxtone is just another cool high end Charvel with a different logo.

Luxxtone makes great guitars, no doubt. But resale is really tough. Buy used. If you buy new and don’t like it, expect to lose 40% or more.

I have one of each; can't go wrong either way. Charvel will probably hold it's value better, but not by much. A used Luxx will still fetch ~$2K.

It’s a bit bright but other than that...GAS! Looking at some different p/u options. Pretty much decided on keeping...it’s a great guitar

Ever tried tweakin the JB poles? I had GREAT results with that, and some magnet degaussing.
