I can't decide wether to go or not - I've seen George 2x and it was a let down both times, but I see him ripping on YouTube - so I know it's there! No kidding! I'll bring ear plugs and take them out for short periods of time just to check out the tone.

I'm thinking about going to see them around here. I love Lynch, but there was zero chance I'd have gone to the LM/Cinderella/Warrant show. What's bad for Tom Keifer is good for me.

I saw Lynch several times in the 80's and early 90's and was always amazing with the exception of the Monsters of Rock show in Pittsburgh. He was one of my all time favorites so I even found some enjoyment in that show.

That said, I saw him headline a club about 2 years ago near Denver and it was, in a word, awful. He had a very thin, trebly tone and was extremely loud...talk about "icepick in the eardrum" syndrome. He also played very "outside" stuff and didn't come close to playing his recorded solos or showing any of the stellar technique the he has exhibited in the past. It was almost some kind of dissonant fusion-like stuff...very out there. To top it off, he looked like he would rather be just about anywhere else and was just going through the motions. I left half way through the gig as it had become clear that he wasn't warming up and things weren't going to get better.

Even with that experience, I would still give him another shot
