Lynch video

Has a lot of potential...but not sure I actually would listen to it..
 
The first cd was excellent. Good variety of styles. I am a big Lynch fan but haven't been crazy about a lot of the stuff he's done lately. KXM is definetly the exception to that. Great band!! And both cds were done quick so it's got nice raw feel to it. I'll definetly grab the second cd when it's released
 
I heard the single off the first album. I liked that. This is excellent! Way to go. It kinda has a Voivod type prog feel to it, but the solo was more melodic. Good solo too. I bet George jammin with Ray Luzier, then playing with Mick Brown feels like playing with a 4 year old. :lol: :LOL:
 
KXM is some of the best Lynch I've heard in a while. Great tones and great songs!

Not bad for progressive, experimental stuff. The only thing that bothers me is the vocals have to much reverb/echo in it. Feels to artificial
 
Still like the Sweet/Lynch stuff more. Looking forward to that new album.

Meh, didn't do much for me at all. Interesting musically but weak on the vocals this time around. I also felt there was too much effect on his voice and likely some pitch correction going on. Sounds a little fake in spots. Now it is understandable as everyone is getting older but that glazed over heavy FX on the vox doesn't work for me. It is almost as if lynch sounds so raw and then everyone else is polished.

That's another thing, the sampled drums and snare have got to go. I know it allows everyone to record in less than stellar circumstances but there is zero dynamics. The drums sound like the perfect sample. That snare is a sell out. Was listening to old Slayer and sabbath today, man the drums sound so alive. Even the drums recorded in a shit basement studio can sound better than samples if you throw up a room mic. They used to " augment " drums with samples, now they augment with the odd real drum. Sad. No wonder we complain everything sounds like crap now.
