Mad Professor Deep Blue delay any good?

I need a new delay and came across the Deep Blue delay. I liked what I read about it, is it any good say compared to the hardwire DL-8?

I liked it because it has no buffers and seems solid and all the clips sound good. Anyone with experience with this delay.

Handwired or PCB models is there any difference?
 
I know some of you tried this thing, what did you think? :yes:
 
Had one and sold it ...

If my memory serves me right:
1) there was a bit of a volume drop (in my setup)
2) repeats were kinda grainy but not in a good "analog" or "tape delay" kind of way ... sounded like lower bitrate type of degradation
3) it was a bit noisy
