Majik Box Rocket fuel or Cusack Screamer

Looking for an Overdrive to boost my modded Marshall..Aldrich uses the Rocket Fuel and Lynch uses the Screamer,.I like both of there tones. has anyone tried both?
 
I haven't tried both but I really dig my Majik Box Rocket Fuel in front of my XTC 101b! :rock: I tried the Rocket Fuel in front of my MESA Lonestar and thought it was a bit tubby...different pedals for different amps. :lol: :LOL:
 
I'm not sure if you're set on one of the two you mention, but I just got a Bloody Murder OD and it's a great boost/OD pedal. It might be honeymoon phase, but you should pm lordofchaos and ask him about it, he puts them together. Great pedal.
 
Lynch uses so much different stuff that I wouldn't put any stock in anything that you don't actually watch him use. I saw him live not long after his Keely TMB came out and he didn't even have one on his board (and none of his Morley gear either).

Buying a pedal because you like somebody's tone is actually rather silly seeing as that's only a small piece of the overall equation. You'd be better served by trying out various pedals of interest and seeing how they sit in your rig. The more you are able to buy used, the better chance you have of finding the right model without breaking the bank.
 
I've got both and consider each of them to be indispensable. The cusack is a tube-screamer-esque pedal (duh!) and is smoother and more polite than the Rocket fuel. Boosting through the rocket fuel is heavier and raunchier but still very pleasing. The cusack is great by itself or chained into other boxes. Both are different flavours that i enjoy. You need both :D
