Long time lurker, first post. Here is my story to kinda introduce myself. I am a drummer by trade but picked up guitar about 4 years ago. My brother builds amps and built me a JMP 2203 clone. It also has a fourth gain stage. The high gain side of the amp screams so I am looking to get an OD pedal for the 2203 side. I am really digging the sound of the Rocket fuel, which brings me to my question. Do the sound clips that are on Majik box's web site really represent the true sound of the pedal? I am really digging the Doug Aldrich tone lately and or vintage Whitesnake. And for anyone who has this pedal how do you like it? Good or bad let's hear it. Thanks!

Got one and it is great. Quiet, true bypass, boost on left, OD on right, transparent and subtle. 3 way bottom/mid selection. Stopped my search for an OD/Boost. Quite a wait to get one built, but worth it.

I took the advice of Steve K and Hollywood and bought one myself. I have been through at least twelve OD's. I always came back to my Bloody Murder but the RF has been on my board for two months now. Very transparent-Very nice pedal. I use mine to boost. I keep the gain at about 25% but it doesn't sound bad higher like most pedal used with a gain channel.

I have one and I think it's a great unit. As to your question, the clips on the Majik box web site represent the RF in combination with what every amp was used. The RF is pretty transparent...it gives you more of what ever tone YOUR amp produces. It will NOT make your amp sound like someone elses amp. In your case, I think you will be VERY happy with the RF!

Thanks for all of the feedback! These are the responses I was looking for. It is so hard to listen to clips of peoples pedal when alot alot of them are done through clean channels. Kinda mis leading at least for me. Thanks to everyone who chimed in! Let the saving begin!

 You really need to send Dave Simpson an E-mail and tell him to please take your order and that All of us told you to get this pedal.
He will get one out to you as fast as humanly possible.
Then once you get it........you can join us and make the list of guys telling the next guy asking about this pedal longer.  There is no better product for what the rocket fuel does and does not do. ;)

Very well said. Seriously place your order with Rig-Talk recomendations. You cannot go wrong. If you think you did, then you will be wrong-If that makes any sense. Save yourself the losses on resale. Just like amiller posted-It gives you more of the tone of YOUR amp. Well said Bros.
