Yeah that doesn't really work down here though. Even with an electric vehicle I would still need fuel for the saw and the string trimmer.

I can see the advantage if you don't drive far to work or work from home and have a small property. Have you calculated what the additional cost of your electric bill was vs fuel? I'd be interested to know that kind of info, amount of driving and added cost to your electric bill before and after.

I drive a company vehicle and we have a fill up tank at our shop so I don’t even know what prices are.

I was spending a little over $100 a week pre pandemic though when I was commuting

I drive 100 miles and back to my cabin. I have 3 lawn mowers. Other power tools. An ATV and a UTV. If I had time and money - I'd have a boat(s) and a motorcycle. I'm gonna live my life. Millions of years of compression created oil. Humans figured out how to harness that as fuel to build just about everything you see in front of you. I'm down with alternative fuels and keeping the climate clean, but let's realize it will take time to turn a corner. Just sayin'
