Mark offered to rebuild my EL84 CCV circuit so I took him up on it. It sounded very cool before but I felt the ccv type circuit may be too much for el84s or just too much for my needs. Its less over the top and more controllable which I prefer. This has no zeners and is more of a high gain low gain 2 channel ac30-jcm800 type but totally a cameron design. I havent given it the live test yet but I can tell this circuit will sit in the mix better when cranked. Sorry about the arm in the video and also I spliced the same video together so part of it repeats oops. Very low volume

Cameron's alive? :D

Sounds absolutely killer dude. I be it absolutely screams at above TV volumes. For it to be such low volume it doesn't sound overly saturated either.

Killer tone. Never heard a Cameron mod sound anything short of awesome.

And you actually got your amp back

Go buy a lottery ticket or something as luck is shurley on your side :scared:

Sounds wicked. I find the whole zener approach way too gained out and fizzy. This is just right. Nice and crunchy /juicy.

I hear this complaint a lot about zeners but my Jose Mark did(and I really only use the HG diode clip setting) sounds so killer, ripping and smooth. It's just great. None of this overly gained out or fizzy sound at all.

Yeah, people make this claim all the time, but it's just not true. I use zeners and other clipping circuits in my amps (you can remove them from the circuit with the flip of a switch if you like, of course) and the last thing people who've played them in person would say is that they are fizzy or gained out. There is nothing inherent in zeners or other, similar clipping options that make an amp fizzy or overly grainy.

The other one I love is "I'd never buy an amp with zeners, I want all tube gain!" First of all, I guarantee no one could tell the difference and second, half will stick an overdrive in front of their tube amp that has a transistor clipping circuit in it anyway!

Clip sounds great. Definitely has that signature Cameron tone.
