Thing sounds amazing here IMO.

Then randomly scroll on reverb and one just got listed for 2k shipped. Pulled the trigger, just sounded too good in this clip. I’ve never owned a mark series and always wanted one. Guess I got an old one to go along with my rev e chrome face!

Congrats!

Way back in the day when internet buying was way less regulated, I bought a Mark "IIC+" but it turned out to be a IIB when I got it. It sounded incredible, but like the idiot kid I was all those years ago, I eventually traded it for something else.

It's a killer sounding amp with an excellent high gain channel.

I couldn’t let myself spend 8k on one lol. For what I got this for, it’ll get me close enough. Hard to say what’s a fair deal these days with how much people are asking for stuff!

Oh I think I spent $800 on mine. This was in like 1999 or so, before the prices for them went insane.

Ah, the good old days, where every used amp was 500-1000 bucks. My first tube amp was a block letter 5150 I got for 450 bucks back in 03!

Same. I also bought a 5150 at about that price around that time.

Selling it was another idiotic thing I did. The next one I bought (and still have btw) was a lot more expensive.

Yeah, I hear that. Some people were buying the block letter for up to 2k. Insanity.

Congrats ! Cool to see you got a mark series. Mix it with your rectifier, it’s glorious

If you find a Mark IIB combo - hardwood, wicker grill, graph, all options except export transformer, with holes drilled in the sides for some Fender tilt back legs, that was mine.

My first "good" amp. I bought it new when I could barely afford it. Ended up selling it for a 1970 Marshall 50 watt.

Very cool, I grabbed a Mark III red stripe a few days ago. For ears most Mark series sound pretty close to each other. Same core tone with minor differences throughout the revisions

If this is your first Mark spend time looking up some basic good settings. There can be a small learning curve dialing it in. But you can get the hang of it pretty quickly.

Hope you like yours as much as I've been enjoying mine.

Wow, Sounds great, GJgo
I’ve never owned a Mark series amp.
That GEQ makes a world of difference??
A definite must.
Yeah - the b I got has the eq. Really looking forward to it. I think that and a boost should get me what I’m looking for.
