I talked to Mike B. and he is still doing mods and service, 6-8 week lead time.

$450 paid to him and then $450+ to Mesa for the caps and service. I'm going for it since my amp is 35 years old and hasn't had the caps replaced and Mike can go over it better than anyone and he recommended the ++ for my blue stripe coli.

Anyone regret the ++ mod on a Mark III?

++ mod is awesome, basically makes the high end better and lets the presence knob have a use. You can activate ++ by pulling the mid (engaging r2) or with r2 out its a +.

Love my Mesa mark III+/++ Coli. It was also converted to full pentode 180W which I’ve heard Mike no longer offers due to the labor involved.

$1000 for the mod sounds about right before shipping. Coliseums aren’t cheap to begin with but modded ones fetch a premium due to their rarity. In this economy post Gibson buyout I wouldn’t let mine go for less than $6k.
 
I've had them all. Great amps. Luckily he was only asking $125 when I had mine modded 10 years ago.
 
Keep us posted, I see a purple stripe simulclass combo by me listed for $1750 that I'm debating sending for ++ mods but that $1k price tag is scaring me.
