Have not posted here in a while but here goes, My Mesa Boogie Mark III Lead channel has no gain, My Wah won't work at all thru it. But will work in another amp. Check the tubes everything looks good. Just put some SED 6L6 in, Somethings weird  Preamp tubes all Mesa and a couple of new Mullards.

Does yours have reverb? if it does try reversing the 2 RCA jacks going into the chassis

Would that even do anything? I didn't know reverb tanks had polarity...chime in if you know.

It sounds like a preamp tube if it's just the lead channel. V3 is the tube I'd check if I'm not mistaken.

I had a pre amp tube get knocked to the side that did the same to me. I also had the reverb reverse before causing a similar issue.

Hmm. Thanks for clarifying. I had no idea about the reverb causing anything like that.

Got the gain back. Moved some tubes around. Power amp tubes to. So on the reverb just swap the wires??

I have unplugged the reverb from the chassis when putting it in the head shell and had sound issues and when I swapped the reverb jacks around it fixed it.
