Mark IV vs C+ DRG : Clip

Personally I think there's no better lead tone than a IIC+ (specifically without GEQ). But, over the years I've spoken to a number of guys who really prefer the lead tone on their IV. Where do you stand on it?

In the live band mix I think I'd rather have the IV, but in the bedroom & recording studio the IIC+ (with GEQ) can't be beat. IMO.

I’ve never been much of a lead player, but I’d go C+ all day for leads. That bounce and liquid gain is addictive.

I took the IV to band practice a few weeks ago and felt meh. Taking the C+ tomorrow for its first band rehearsal. The Dual Recto stays over there these days cause that’s my favorite in the mix. Will see how the c+ compares. The C+ and Recto are my favorite amp currently.
